TMA Mobile Administration Guide

EXOR MapCapture Configuration

Your organization may already be using EXOR MapCapture. In that case, you should be able to use the same configuration and workspace and skip this section.

Please refer to the Exor MapCapture Implementation Guide which is delivered with the EXOR MapCapture product. Some sections of that guide will not apply as we only need to generate a workspace to query data and publish an i-model. You can safely skip the following sections:

  • Setting up the Map Manager
  • Completing and attaching photos
  • Working on a mobile device
  • Anything related to editing of data

During the registration, you do not need to register all features. You only need to register the features that you will want to query and bring into the i-model. You can completely disregard the inspection features as they will not be needed.

It is important that you define a Geographical Coordinate System in the dgn file that will be used. You can either define it in the seed file as the Implementation Guide suggests or you can do it in the actual dgn file before you query your data. If you do not define a Geographical Coordinate System you will not be able to use your device’s navigation services.

You need to define three additional MAPMOBILEPUBLISHER_* configuration variables in your workspace’s macros section.

MAPMOBILEPUBLISHER_PROP_TMA_ENABLED This must always be set to "True".
MAPMOBILEPUBLISHER_PROP_TMA_SERVER Set this to the URL to connect to your installed Bentley Web Service Gateway.
MAPMOBILEPUBLISHER_PROP_TMA_REPOSITORY Set this to the name of the TMA Plugin on your Bentley Web Service Gateway.

Save your workspace and export it. At the end of this step you should have a workspace that has the proper features registered and configured with the symbology you want to use.
